Everyone deserves equal access to the products and services that they need to stay healthy. “How can we develop a niche toothpaste that meets the needs of people with different lifestyles but is also healthy and safe?” This question was the original driving force that led Dr. Sayed Ibrihim to found SprinJene back in 2012 out of a small laboratory. Today, their products are sold all over the world and every one of them is certified cruelty-free, vegan, gluten-free, USDA Bio preferred, kosher, halal, and are certified by leading US associations like the American Dental Association.

To solve the problem of creating personal care products that everyone can use, Dr. Ibrihim had to travel extensively to find the very best ingredients. “Once I discovered Alibaba.com, I was amazed at how many options I had for suppliers from all over the world,” Dr. Ibrihim recalled. “We have strict requirements for the ingredients we use in our products… but even with such strict criteria, Alibaba.com found some perfect suppliers for us.”

Since his products must adhere to specific standards, Dr. Ibrihim needs to be sure the suppliers operate at a similarly high level. He therefore works with Verified Suppliers on Alibaba.com because they are checked by an independent third party, so he doesn’t have to worry about if their reports or certifications. “I love the livestreams of products and factories,” Dr. Ibrihim adds, saying that they allow him to get a better feel for what a company is like. “It feels like we are really there with the suppliers!”

As one of just 50 businesses chosen out of 12,000 applicants, SprinJene received a US $10,000 grant. Dr. Ibrihim is using the grant to continue to develop and launch new products, including an oral care range and a new line of natural and organic deodorants, soaps, and skincare products. He hopes this can help even more people have access to personal care products that meet their strict standards, too.
